EXPLANATORY NOTE

This is the eighth Commencement Order made by the Welsh Ministers under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016 (“the Act”). It brings into force section 160(5) of the Act on 31 March 2025.

Section 160(5) provides Social Care Wales with the power to apply to the First-tier Tribunal for an order requiring the supply of information or production of documents, requested in accordance with section 160, where either of these is being withheld.
