Interpretation of Part 7
regulation 67 67. In this Part—
term the 2002 act “the 2002 Act” means the Police Reform Act 2002;
term the 2020 regulations “the 2020 Regulations” means the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020;
term complaint “complaint” has the meaning given by section 12 of the 2002 Act;
term conduct matter “conduct matter” has the meaning given by section 12 of the 2002 Act;
term director general “Director General” means the Director General of the Independent Office for Police Conduct;
term dsi matter “DSI matter” has the meaning given by section 12 of the 2002 Act;
term former police officer “former police officer” means a person who has ceased to be a member of a police force or special constable;
term police officer “police officer” means a member of a police force or special constable;
term pre commencement allegation “pre-commencement allegation” means an allegation against a police officer or former police officer which came to the attention of a local policing body, a chief officer of police or the Director General before 28th May 2025;
term recordable conduct matter “recordable conduct matter” has the meaning given by section 29 of the 2002 Act.
