Amendment to regulation 23

regulation 22 + 22.  In regulation 23 (consequences of failure to comply with a requirement of the Immigration (Biometric Registration) Regulations 2008)(1)—

regulation 22 a + (a)after paragraph (2)(a), insert—

“(aa)prevent the person from generating a share code until they have complied with the requirement;”;

regulation 22 b + (b)in paragraph (3)—

regulation 22 b i + (i)for “regulation 3(2)(a) or (b)” substitute “regulation 3(2)(a) or (f)”;

regulation 22 b ii + (ii)for “3A(2)(a) or (b)” substitute “3A(2)”;

regulation 22 c + (c)in paragraph (4)—

regulation 22 c i + (i)omit “, (f)”;

regulation 22 c ii + (ii)omit “or (f)”;

regulation 22 d + (d)after paragraph (6) insert—

“(7) In this regulation “share code” means an electronically generated code to allow a third party to access information about an individual’s immigration status.”.
