Citation, commencement and interpretation

regulation 1 + 1.—(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Food and Feed (Regulated Products) (Amendment, Revocation, Consequential and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2025.

(2) These Regulations come into force on 1st April 2025.

(3) In these Regulations—

regulation 1 3 a + (a)“Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003” means Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on genetically modified food and feed(1);

regulation 1 3 b + (b)“Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003” means Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on additives for use in animal nutrition(2);

regulation 1 3 c + (c)“Regulation (EC) No 2065/2003” means Regulation (EC) No 2065/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council on smoke flavourings used or intended for use in or on foods(3).

Extent and application

regulation 2 + 2.—(1) The following provisions of these Regulations extend to England and Wales—

regulation 2 1 a + (a)this Part and Parts 2 to 8;

regulation 2 1 b + (b)Schedules 2 to 9, 11 and 12.

(2) The provisions in paragraph (1) apply to England and Wales, save as follows—

regulation 2 2 a + (a)Schedules 2 and 11 apply only in relation to Wales;

regulation 2 2 b + (b)Schedules 3 and 12 apply only in relation to England.

(3) The following provisions of these Regulations extend to Scotland—

regulation 2 3 a + (a)this Part and Parts 2 to 8;

regulation 2 3 b + (b)Schedules 1 and 4 to 10.
