schedule 3 paragraph 11 1 schedule 3 paragraph 11 schedule 3 paragraph 11 11(1)A person commits an offence if the person intentionally obstructs an authorised inspector in the exercise of a power conferred by this Schedule.
schedule 3 paragraph 11 2 (2)A person who commits an offence under this paragraph is liable on summary conviction—
schedule 3 paragraph 11 2 a (a)in England and Wales, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding the maximum term for summary offences or a fine (or both);
schedule 3 paragraph 11 2 b (b)in Scotland, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months or a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale (or both);
schedule 3 paragraph 11 2 c (c)in Northern Ireland, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale (or both).
schedule 3 paragraph 11 3 (3)term the maximum term for summary offences In sub-paragraph (2)(a) “the maximum term for summary offences” means—
schedule 3 paragraph 11 3 a (a)if the offence is committed before the time when section 281(5) of the Criminal Justice Act 2003 comes into force, six months;
schedule 3 paragraph 11 3 b (b)if the offence is committed after that time, 51 weeks.
