Citation, commencement and interpretation
article 1 1.—(1) This Order may be cited as the Social Security Up-rating (Scotland) Order 2025.
(2) Subject to paragraphs (3) and (4), this Order comes into force on 1 April 2025(1).
(3) Articles 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 come into force on 7 April 2025.
(4) Article 5 comes into force on 10 April 2025.
term the 1992 act (5) In this Order “the 1992 Act” means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992(2).
Sections 150(10) and 150A(7) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 make provision on the bringing into force of an order under sections 150 or 150A. Section 150(10) was relevantly amended by section 30(1)(a) and paragraph 21 of schedule 1 of the Pensions Act 2007 (c. 22) and S.I. 2014/2888. Section 150A(7) was amended by S.I. 2014/2888.
