Amendment of the Carer Support Payment Regulations 2023

regulation 13 + 13.—(1) The Carer Support Payment Regulations 2023 are amended as follows.

(2) In regulation 14(1) (earnings limit)(1), for “£151” substitute “£196”.

(3) In regulation 16(1) (amount and form of Carer Support Payment)(2), for “£81.90” substitute “£83.30”.

(4) In paragraph 8 of schedule 2 (earnings of employed earners)—

regulation 13 4 a + (a)in sub-paragraph (1)—

regulation 13 4 a i + (i)in head (j)(ii) omit “or”,

regulation 13 4 a ii + (ii)after head (j)(iii) insert—

“, or

(iv)on neonatal care leave.”,

regulation 13 4 b + (b)in sub-paragraph (5) after the definition of “maternity leave” insert—

““neonatal care leave” means a period of absence from work on leave under section 80EF (neonatal care leave) of the Employment Rights Act 1996(3),”.
