HARBOURS, DOCKS, PIERS AND FERRIESThis Order empowers the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners (“the Commissioners”) as harbour authority for Cattewater Harbour (Port of Plymouth) to extend the limits of the harbour to include the harbour premises (article 3). The illustrative plans (defined in article 3) showing the harbour limits and harbour premises may be inspected during office hours at the harbour office at 2, The Barbican, Plymouth, Devon PL1 2LR and on the harbour website (www.plymouthport.org.uk/).

INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNINGThis Order amends the Manston Airport Development Consent Order 2022, a development consent order under the Planning Act 2008 (“the Act”). This Order follows an application under paragraph 2 of Schedule 6 to the Act for a non-material change to amend the time limit for exercising the authority to acquire land compulsorily and to gain temporary possession from one to five years.

INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNINGThis Order authorises East Yorkshire Solar Farm Limited (company number 14103404) (referred to in this Order as the undertaker) to construct, operate, maintain and decommission a ground mounted solar photovoltaic generating station with a gross electrical output capacity over 50 megawatts and associated development. The Order would permit the undertaker to acquire, compulsorily or by agreement, land and rights in land and to use land for this purpose.

FINANCIAL SERVICES AND MARKETSThese Regulations provide for the testing of the efficiency and effectiveness of a new kind of share-trading system, the Private Intermittent Securities and Capital Exchange System, or PISCES. The PISCES sandbox is a financial markets infrastructure (“FMI”) sandbox provided for at sections 13 to 17 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2023 (c. 29). FMI sandboxes provide for the testing of new or developing technologies or practices in FMI activities, and for the testing of whether or how relevant enactments should apply to the operation of a those new technologies or practices.
