26Provision of health services by local authorities

section 26 1 + (1)The 2014 Act is amended as follows.

section 26 2 + (2)In section 47(1)—

section 26 2 a + (a)the words from “doing so would be incidental” to the end become paragraph (a);

section 26 2 b + (b)at the end of that paragraph, insert “, and

(b)the service or the facility in question would be of a nature that the local authority could be expected to provide.”

section 26 3 + (3)In section 47(2)—

section 26 3 a + (a)the words from “doing so would be incidental” to the end become paragraph (a);

section 26 3 b + (b)at the end of that paragraph insert “, and

(b)the service or the facility in question would be of a nature that the local authority could be expected to provide.”
